Here’s what I have on my current painting to-do list:
- My Pathfinders. I have a unit of 8, with 6 of them roughly half-done. Beyond that, I have a Devilfish that’s maybe two-thirds complete; it’s just about at the detail painting stage.
- My tanks. I have 3 Hammerheads halfway based with the spray gun. I need to get the bottoms done, and then I can move them into more detailed work. Beyond that, I also have a Sky Ray that needs the spray treatment, but that’ll most likely require a new can of propellant. I may spray my two Piranhas at the same time.
- My Broadsides. I have two Broadsides assembled and ready for priming. They’re at the bottom of the list, though; I just won an auction for another set of the metal Broadside bits, and since I have 6 spare Crisis Suits still on the sprue (thank you, Rapid Insertion Force box), I can put together a third Broadside before I break out the primer.
After that, there’s eight more Fire Warriors, a trio of Deathrain suits, two more monat suits, the aforementioned Piranhas, and a dozen Kroot. Once those are done, everything I have assembled will finally be painted… just in time to assemble more things. At this point, I’m tempted to adopt a point-based tracking system (similar to the one used by Ron from From The Warp, who borrowed it from LonePilgrim) just to keep myself accountable.
